Hannon gives Newcastle a happy makeover

Newcastle's women were in for a real treat this past weekend when South Africa's Glam Guru, Hannon, shared his informative expertise on health and beauty.

As part of his KZN road show, Hannon visited the Factory Plaza on Friday afternoon (September 20) for a meet and greet opportunity and to inform local ladies that Crystal Palace Salon will officially be stocking up on all Hannon products.

He then brazed the freezing snow on Saturday (September 22) to attend the Women’s Morning Fundraiser at Amajuba High School.

Salon representatives said the event played a pivotal role in supporting Hannon’s KwaZulu-Natal roadshow, enabling him to connect with local beauty enthusiasts.

It also provided a unique opportunity for Amajuba School which proudly hosted Hannon to use the occasion as a special fundraising initiative.

“The event was designed to spread positivity and empower women from within, allowing their inner confidence to shine outward. Crystal Palace Hair Salon is proud to be part of this movement, whereby Amajuba School celebrates beauty and strives to strengthen community spirit.

“Through this collaboration, we aim to empower women by providing access to premium beauty products and experiences that inspire self-confidence, positivity, and empowerment.”

Magda Blackler of Amajuba High School said Hannon last visited Newcastle over a decade ago, and that the school was ‘truly grateful for the opportunity he made possible for the school.’ The event was organised under the leadership of Mrs Blackler, with the help of Elise

Myburgh and other staff members, with most of the food prepared by Amajuba’s staff.

Top-notch event

The hall was elegantly and stylishly decorated, from the décor to the wrapped chocolates on every guest’s chair; it was an outstanding, top-notch event.

Hannon provided humour, entertaining and relaxing the ladies, filling the hall with laughter with his witty remarks. It was a delightful morning of togetherness.

“A big thank you to all Amajuba staff for their hard work and to those who made their products available for sale on Saturday…our gratitude also goes to Dina Tseng for hosting Hannon and contributing to his meals and accommodation. A big thank you to Hannon, Madeleine, and every lady who attended,” said Mrs. Blackler.

The following people were thanked for their donations and sponsorships: Avalon Quest House for accommodation and meals for Hannon and Madeleine Pretorius, Drakensville ATKV for a four-day holiday prize, Pick n Pay Huttenheights, Bonanza Electrical, Deans Stationery, Sasol Newcastle, and Die Spens (Factory Plaza).
