Two life sentences for child rapist

After inspecting the child’s complaints, she discovered that her child had been raped

Justice for two families was served when Patrick Bheki Nkosi (60) was sentenced to two terms of life imprisonment on September 4. The Vryheid Regional Court found Nkosi guilty of raping two boys in 2019. He raped the boys, aged four and five years old at the time, on the evening of July 11, 2019. The boys had been sent to a nearby shop when Nkosi called them to his house, where he committed the heinous crimes. He offered them R2 and told them not to tell anyone what had happened. The mother of one of the boys realised something was wrong when the boy complained about pain in the area of his buttocks. After inspecting the child’s complaints, she discovered that her child had been raped. The boy told his mother about the incident and she reported it to the police. Nkosi was immediately arrested; he was a teacher at the boys’ school. He remained in custody until he was sentenced.
