Sipheni Primary School learners excel at ISP Science Expo

Sipheni Primary School is overflowing with pride and excitement as two of their learners, Ayethaba Ndlovu and Cebo Makhanya, are preparing to represent KZN at the ISP Science Expo in Johannesburg.

According to their science teacher and departmental head, Mrs. Xolile Mazibuko, these students have consistently demonstrated that even with limited resources, anything is possible through hard work and sheer determination.

“They have shown their remarkable potential and capability for greatness,” she said. “I am so proud of my boys. I discovered their exceptional skills and talent while I was doing coding and robotics with them in Grade 5 last year (2023). They were able to assemble the robot in 38 minutes, while they were given 45 minutes.”

According to the school, this achievement would not have been possible without the guidance and mentorship of Mrs. Mazibuko, who ensured they overcame every challenge that came their way.

Their success is a true testament to their hard work and unwavering dedication.

“We are incredibly proud of them and wish them all the best!”

“To my colleagues out there, coding and robotics are fun for learners; they enjoy it. Let us continue doing our best in class using technology in class,” concluded Mrs. Mazibuko.
