Learners participate in Physical Science Olympiad

This is the first Olympiad that Nkwanyana and his team have organized, but the dream is to hold it every year

Learners from the Bhekuzulu CMC (Circuit Management Cluster) recently took part in a Physical Science Olympiad.
The Olympiad took place at Vryheid Comprehensive Secondary School, where the learners wrote a test consisting of paper 1 and paper 2. Afterwards, the learners were awarded certificates for participation and for a job well done.
Mr Nkwayana, who is a subject advisor, said, “The main aim of holding these Olympiads is to improve the number of learners who receive distinctions in the subject, as well as prepare them for the upcoming exams. We also want to break the stigma that comes with the subject of Physical Science, as we believe that with time, the learners will get better and their marks will improve.”
This is the first Olympiad that Nkwanyana and his team have organized, but the dream is to hold it every year. The next one is set to take place on Friday, where all the schools in the Zululand District will participate.
The team would like to thank Mr Manyathi for being their sponsor, but they are open to any individuals or businesses that would like to lend a helping hand.
