Taxi and truck collide at N3 off-ramp
The exact cause of the crash is not clear at this stage
One person was injured when a taxi collided with a truck at the N3 off-ramp near the Estcourt truck stop yesterday afternoon (August 20).
According to an official at the scene, the taxi was badly damaged and the driver seriously injured after rear-ending the truck. The official further explained that no passengers were in the taxi at the time.

Fire & Rescue Services had to use the ‘jaws of life’ to pry the taxi away from the truck and extricate the injured driver from the wreckage.
Towing services, SAPS and traffic police responded to the scene. The road had to be temporarily closed to allow for ‘recovery’ operations.
