Water and sewer woes in Bergville

uThukela has suspended water abstraction from the Bergville Canal due to dead fish in the water

A business owner is up in arms about a sewer leak in front of his business in Tatham Road, Bergville CBD.

“Although we residents have been phoning uThukela Municipality a number of times, nothing seems to be done about this stinking mess. This mess is not from yesterday or today, but it’s been going on for months. It seems as if our calls and pleas are falling on deaf ears,” said the fuming business owner.

On the other hand, uThukela has issued a statement notifying residents about the suspension of water abstraction from the Bergville Canal.
