Water restoration efforts underway

uThukela apologises for the inconvenience caused and appreciates your understanding

uThukela District Municipality would like to inform the public that the Rose Hill Reservoir, which supplies water to Ezakheni, is currently at 10% capacity, making it impossible to release water.

According to uThukela spokesperson Jabulani Mkhonza, they ideally need levels above 50% to ensure that water reaches all communities.

“Our team is on site, investigating potential issues like airlocks, burst pipes or closed valves that might be affecting water flow. We expect to restore water supply once the system is fully charged,” said Mkhonza.
