Ezakheni residents have spent the whole weekend without water.
According to uThukela’s latest update, some of the areas that get water from the Ezakheni Water Treatment Plant have started receiving water.
This morning (July 29), uThukela informed Ezakheni residents that the Rose Hill Reservoir was at 10%, making it impossible to release water.

“It is recommended that water be released when the reservoir levels are at least above 50% to ensure a wider reach of water to communities. The reticulation team is currently on site, checking if there are any airlocks, burst pipes or closed valves that might interfere with the flow of water to the Rose Hill Reservoir,” said uThukela.
Some areas are still waiting for running water from their taps.
