War Room gifted with much-need blood pressure monitoring machine

The War Room addressed all concerns faced by residents and try and find ways to find effective solutions to these issues.

Ali Hoosen has thanked Dave and Shirley Carson and Jenika Kishun from Universal Angel Network for the generous donation of a much-needed blood pressure monitoring machine, which will now allow them to check residents’ pressure when visiting the Ward 3 War Room.

The purpose of the War Room:

Hoosen stated that the War Room hosts regular stakeholder meetings with members of police, fire, health, child welfare, legal aid, the municipality, and others every three months, where they address all concerns faced by residents and try and find ways to find effective solutions to these issues.

“Here at the War Room, we try and fight various social struggles—not physically but mentally. We look at issues such as helping with service delivery issues, unemployment, the collection of prescription medicines, and wherever else we are able to. The War Room is here with the sole purpose of serving the residents,” he explained.

Hoosen said he can be contacted on 064 282 5198 for more information on the Ward 3 War Room.
