Worsening water leak in Murchison Street

Businesses in town have dry taps as a result of the leak

There is a water leak in Murchison Street, in front of the Hospice Shop, which seems to be getting worse since it was reported on Saturday (July 20).

Water from the leak is flowing down the street and people are complaining that gallons of clean drinking water is being wasted. The leak has also resulted in some businesses in the CBD being without water.

“The leak has been there since Friday and was reported on Saturday, but it has gotten worse. This is disturbing our day-to-day activities, as well as other businesses in the CBD,” said Hospice manager Jennifer Rehman.
