Classroom revamped in 67 minutes for Mandela Day

The team also visited the senior citizens of Forderville and Colita, educating them about Mpox and handing out warm blankets

As a way of celebrating Mandela Day on July 18, Ward 10 Councillor Edith Lite, together with various stakeholders, visited Estcourt Primary School and repainted a classroom.

Using their 67 minutes to do some good for the community, this initiative was in conjunction with the Department of Health, Department of Transport and Ward 10 Committee.

The team went so far as to clean the entire Grade R classroom and its furniture, and renew old drawings at the back of the classroom.

The team started the day in the Colita community garden, where they did a clean-up and planted vegetables.
