MK Party takes a stand against crime and substance abuse.

Ahead of the upcoming Ward 28 by-election, the MK party conducted a march against gangsterism, substance abuse and crime in Madadeni on Monday (July 8)

The march assembled at the Zenzele Complex in Madadeni, Ward 28. SAPS Station Commander Radebe received the crowd who claimed that they were fighting for a safer environment for all.

Regional Interim Coordinator, Thokozani Nene, addressed the crowd, saying: “We believe that it is the collective work of leaders of political parties such as the MKP, community organisations, and the wider public to fight against the social ills that afflict our society and destroy the future of this country.”

The party demanded a plan of action from the police within seven days of signing the memorandum, detailing what steps they would be taking to combat lawlessness in the area. Should there be no response, party organisers warned that they would ‘organise the whole of the Amajuba District to march to the precinct.’
