Amajuba High successfully hosts frozen Winterland matric dance
The school's Grade 12s shook off their school uniforms to don exquisite gowns and suave suits for the annual matric dance.
Held at their school hall on Friday (July 12), the theme, ‘Frozen Winterland,’ was executed to perfection as the hall dripped in white and silver decorations, transforming the hall into an icy wonderland.
The annual matriculation farewell causes much excitement, not only for the students but also for the families who assemble to watch the matriculants arrive in style and walk the ramp as supermodels would.
Sounds of revving cars and screams of excitement filled the air as students after students stepped up to strut their walk in different shades and styles of dresses and suits, from vintage-inspired to more risqué, Hollywood-esque styles.
The night was a definite highlight for the Grade 12s, as they now turn their focus to the final months of the school year.
