Following the recent report of an Mpox death in the uThukela District, Ladysmith Hospice manager Jennifer Rehman arranged an educational session for their clinical staff.
This was conducted by co-opted board member Matron Zikalala, who shared a number of important issues related to the Mpox virus.

She based her training on information supplied by the Department of Health, which covers background, symptoms, transmission, prevention, treatment and proper waste management procedures.
