uThukela buys three new water tankers

The district municipality auctioned off its old fleet of water tankers recently

uThukela District Municipality yesterday (July 4) announced the acquisition of three new water tankers. According to uThukela, this was made possible through the co-operation of the Development Bank of South Africa.

“These tankers will significantly enhance our ability to provide emergency water supply during outages and in areas lacking water infrastructure.

“Each of the three water tankers has been allocated to a local municipality within uThukela, reflecting our strategic plan to improve service delivery across the district. This acquisition is a key part of our efforts to turn around the situation in our district and ensure that all residents have access to essential water services,” said uThukela.
