Mayor cracks the whip as Working Group chairperson

uThukela District Mayor Inkosi Ntandoyenkosi Shabalala chairs the KZN SALGA Working Group

uThukela District Municipality Mayor Inkosi Ntandoyenkosi Shabalala is the chairperson of the SALGA Built Environment and Planning Working Group. As such, Shabalala chairs the working group meeting, where he receives presentations on the work and activities relating to the KwaZulu-Natal branch of the South African Local Government Association (SALGA).

He cracks the whip when it comes to municipal sustainability initiatives, climate change, disaster management and response, and economic development and investment initiatives.

As the chairperson of the Working Group, the uThukela mayor plays an integral role in enhancing inter-governmental co-operation and efforts between municipalities, SALGA and other important stakeholders in order to accelerate service delivery.
