Albert Street ready to be driven on

The mayor said they are not done, as roads need to be constructed in town and surroundings areas in this financial year

Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality officially opened Albert Street yesterday (June 25). This road connects Estcourt town to Loskop.

Mayor Mduduzi Myeza, together with Deputy Mayor Sthabiso Dladla and other councillors, were in attendance.

The mayor commented that they were very happy to be opening Albert Street after finishing its construction.

“We have decided to open this road today after the huge job done by the contractor we hired. We are also applauding the contractor because we are satisfied with the high standard of work that has been done here.”

Myeza added that, “We are not done with constructing roads and developing the infrastructure. At the moment, we are busy constructing the Colita bridge. We are still going to reach out to other areas, because we can see that the roads are damaged under Inkosi Langalibalele Municipality. In this financial year, we have R34 million to construct roads, which means this is not the last time we will be opening roads.”
