Vehicles collide on R34
The cause of the crash is unknown at this stage, but the R34 is notorious for accidents
Four people were injured on the R34 Melmoth road over the long weekend when two vehicles collided. One of the vehicles overturned. KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service responded to reports of the accident and found that one person had been critically injured, two seriously injured and one with only minor injuries. The patients were rushed to hospital for treatment. The cause of the crash is unknown at this stage, but the R34 is notorious for accidents. This road is especially busy, with trucks and other vehicles travelling inland from Richards Bay and other northern coastal areas.
