Remains of missing man found

Remains suspected to be those of a 62-year-old man who went missing in February were found last week. The elderly man went missing in the Mkuze area, Umkhanyakude district. Last week, a boy found clothes and bones. Vryheid K9 Search & Rescue attended the scene on Monday and K9 dog Achil found a shallow grave. It is suspected that the grave was dug up by wild dogs. A few bones were found in the grave, as well as a skull that was a few metres away from the grave. An inquest docket has been opened and the search will continue for more remains.
