Church hosts beauty pageant in celebration of Youth Day

The event consisted of both male and female categories

The Methodist Church of Southern Africa, Driefontein Circuit, held their annual Mr and Miss Youth Unity pageant on Monday (June 17).

The church leadership and congregants gathered together in support of all the contestants.

The aim of the event was to celebrate Youth Day and also create a platform for youth to showcase their talents.

Winners in the female category were as follows: Minenhle Hlatshwayo (first runner-up), Aphelele Ndlovu (queen) and Mrs Hlubi (second runner-up).

Thandolwethu Msibi (1st runner-up), Mthunzi Mabaso (king)  and Siboniso Buthelezi (2nd runner-up).

In the male category, the winners were: Thandolwethu Msibi (first runner-up); Mthunzi Mabaso (king) and Siboniso Buthelezi (second runner-up).
