Nofta honours fathers in style
The Nofta organisation recently hosted its 2024 Father's Day Celebration at the Nofta Hall in Lennoxton last Wednesday (June 12).
The day was spent eating scrumptious and filling food, drinks, entertainment, and getting together with friends to celebrate the day every father looks forward to every year.
Nofta Hall chairperson, Morris Gajoo, spoke on the importance of fathers in society.
“Today we are celebrating and honouring our father’s grandfathers and great-grandfathers for their contributions to their families, society, and the community as a whole.
“This is our way of telling them thank you for their contribution to our, our children’s, and our grandchildren’s lives,” commented Gajoo.
Raffle winners walked away with great prizes, including an impressive braai stand. The day was one to remember, with the organisation’s members already looking forward to doing it all over again at next year’s celebration.
