Seedlings Club impresses with its entrepreneurial spirit

Newcastle's Herb Society hosted an intimate and exclusive market on Saturday, June 15.

At the market, members, as well as a handful of invited guests, were encouraged to get to know each other and learn more about each other’s individual talents and interests, be it arts, crafts, or cooking and baking.

Herb Society chairperson, Tara Wood, said the event was such a success that she received several requests to include it as a permanent fixture on the club’s calendar.

“It was a great success all around and everyone enjoyed spending the day together. They all had a good shopping experience as well,” said Wood.

Wood added that, while the event proved the perfect platform to recruit new members by sharing what the Herb Society does with the public, the highlight of the event, for her, was the entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by the young members of the ‘Seedlings Club’, the Herb Society’s junior wing.

To join the Herb Society, send Tara Wood a Whatsapp message on 083 570 8316, or contact club secretary, Janet de Jager on 079 570 4048.
