Planned maintenance at Spioenkop Dam pump station

Water-shedding will be implemented from June 11 to 13 from 19:00 to 05:00

uThukela District Municipality has issued a notice to inform the community of Alfred Duma Local Municipality that planned maintenance at the Spioenkop Dam pump station will be conducted by the Department of Water & Sanitation from Tuesday to Thursday, June 11 to 13.

During this time, no bulk water will be pumped to the Ladysmith Water Treatment Works from Spioenkop.

Water-shedding will be implemented from June 11 to 13 in 10-hour time slots from 19:00 to 05:00.

The community and industries are requested to make the necessary preparations and use water sparingly.

Areas that will be affected include: Danskraal Industrial Area, Limit Hill, Modelkloof, Mkhamba, Observation Hill, Egerton, Steadville Area J, St Chad’s, the CBD, Van Riebeeck Park and Roosboom.
