“I don’t even know where to begin. First and foremost, I want to thank my Heavenly Father.”

The gorgeous 21-year-old competed alongside 27 other contestants and gave nothing but her best, finally having her crowning moment during an emotional finale.

Sharne said she woke up at 4 am on the morning of the pageant with the verse Psalm 16:46 in her heart.

“It resonated so deeply and carried me through the day. This verse was so true and powerful.”

She expressed her deepest gratitude to her ‘incredible sponsors’ for helping her achieve her goals and for supporting her in claiming another title: Miss Debutante.

“Your belief in me made this possible.”

“Thank you to my amazing community for your unwavering care and support throughout this journey. No words can truly capture how grateful I am for each one of you.”

She conveyed a ‘special thank you’ to Nadine from News Romantics for sponsoring all the ladies with such stunning evening wear.

“I am beyond grateful to have also claimed the title of Best in Evening Gown.”

A huge shout-out was given to ‘Aunty Valerie’ for her dedicated effort in helping her prep for Miss Grand.

“This journey has been stressful, but having such a fabulous coach by my side made all the difference.”

“To the Miss Grand South Africa organisation and directors: your passion to make a difference through this pageant is heart-warming. The effort you put into each girl is evident, and the show was out of this world.

“To my fellow community members and South African family, thank you for all the love and support you have shown me throughout this journey. I am honoured to represent our country at the internationals and couldn’t have done it without you.”

“To my family and friends—wow, I am lost for words. Thanks to you, I feel so loved. You made this journey worthwhile and mean everything to me. We did it together!

“To my mother, whom I look up to in every way possible, you are my source of inspiration and my real-life super hero. I really do believe I have the best mother in the world. To my other half, Struan, thank you for pushing me to be the best version of myself and being my constant reminder to never give up. I appreciate you.”

“As the saying goes, “If you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together.” Let’s go get that international crown for South Africa,” she concluded.
