Election celebrations start early for MK supporters

A large crowd of MK members invaded the CBD

Election celebrations began early for MK Party supporters as they celebrated the voter turnout in KwaZulu-Natal.

The supporters paraded through the streets in the CBD this afternoon (May 30).

This comes in the wake of the national elections that were held yesterday.

The MK is doing well so far, since the counting of votes began. According to the party, they are performing well in most of the wards falling under Alfred Duma Local Municipality.

As things stand, the MK is in the lead with 43%, followed by the ANC with 20%, and IFP with 18%.

10% of the votes have been counted at this stage, which is not necessarily a true reflection of the final results, but nevertheless prompted the MK to show their jubilation in a very public way.
