Fire station in Ekuvukeni should be up and running by December
The MEC's visit was part of the premier's service delivery and crime Imbizo
The construction of the Ekuvukeni Satellite Fire Station is now complete, with a projected operation date of December 2024. This was confirmed by the MEC for Co-operative Governance & Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Bongi Sithole-Moloi, during her site visit on Thursday (May 16).
Sithole-Moloi has stressed the need for accelerated progress to facilitate an earlier operational timeline.

She said this proactive approach will enable the station to start providing vital emergency services to the Indaka community sooner, thereby mitigating the risk of fire-related incidents and ensuring a safer environment for all.
