Lambton Road residents are fed up, frustrated and frightened for their safety. This is because an entire block of the street has been without streetlights for months now (address numbers 32, 34, 36 and 38).
The issue has allegedly been reported on numerous occasions, but nothing has been done to fix the problem. The pitch-black at night poses a threat to the community, with people saying that criminals can easily use the cover of darkness to lie in wait for potential victims to attack and rob.

Another issue is the trees growing out of control at the roadside, with their branches touching the electricity lines. This is especially worrisome when it’s windy and the branches sway against the power lines, which residents say is a recipe for disaster.
