Five-year-old child killed in accident
The exact cause is not yet known and police are investigating
A five-year-old boy was killed in an accident yesterday evening (March 5) in Loskop Road outside Estcourt. According to reports, the child tried to cross the road and was hit by a car.
Police, traffic police and IPSS Medical Rescue responded to the scene.

According to a statement by IPSS Medical Rescue, ‘’We received reports of a pedestrian vehicle accident in Loskop Road near Estcourt. On arrival, paramedics established that a five-year-old boy had been hit by a light motor vehicle. Sadly, the boy was declared deceased.’’
Community and distraught family members gathered at the scene.
