uThukela would like to inform the community of Alfred Duma Local Municipality that repairs at the Spioenkop Dam pump station went beyond 12:00 today (February 16).
The district municipality is therefore planning to implement water-shedding tonight from 19:00 until 05:00 tomorrow morning (February 17) to build up storage at the reservoir.
Tonight’s planned water-shedding will affect the Spioenkop pump station from 19:00 until 21:30 and will also exacerbate the situation. You are therefore requested to use water sparingly.
The following areas are likely to be affected: Golf Course, Observation Hill, Egerton area, Steadville, Modelkloof, Limit Hill, Danskraal Industrial, Area J and St Chad’s.
