Illegal dumping frustrates Drividian Road residents

The municipality is doing its best to clean up, but people just carry on dumping their refuse

Community members are frustrated with the illegal dumping taking place in Drividian Road at the back of Aloe Park Primary and Ladysmith Secondary schools.

The municipality cleared and cleaned up the area a week ago, and people are already dumping broken TVs and other rubbish there.

“This is really a setback for the community. It already takes so long when clean-ups are requested and once they are completed, people have the nerve to come and dump their rubbish in the same spot! It is really disheartening when we see this as community members, especially when the municipality are doing their utmost best to clean these areas,” said a resident.

There are specific municipal bin collection days and information is available for people who are not aware of when these days are. Just contact the municipality for clarity.
