Hibiscus Road residents plead for help from municipalities

This road is used by students and workers every day

Residents of Forderville have pleaded with uThukela District Municipality and Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality to attend to the issue of sewer leaks and potholes in the area, especially in Hibiscus Road.

People say these problems have been in existence for a long time now. “We have called uThukela so many times, but they do not answer or help in any way,” fumed one unhappy resident.

The leaks and potholes make it difficult for motorists to drive on this road, not to mention the foul smell that plagues those who live in the street.

Pedestrians, in turn, are forced to walk at the side of the road so they don’t step into the water.
