First action of 2024 brings plenty of exciting oval track thrills

With this being the first race meeting of 2024, expectations were high and the on-track excitement did not disappointment spectators.

The action was back at the Newcastle oval track on Saturday following the postponement of the races the previous week due to inclement weather.

Ruaan Labuschagne celebrated his birthday by finishing second in the stockrod class, behind Imraan Ameer.

New driver, Devon de Bruyn, also attended the meeting and was pleased to meet up with the local drivers.

Imraan Ameer was the lucky winner of a draw for a photos shoot sponsored by Dillin Clarke of R&D Photography, Glencoe.
