Potholes in Farquhar Road frustrate motorists

Residents say that their pleas for repairs have fallen on deaf ears

Residents of Farquhar Road are complaining about the numerous potholes that make it difficult for motorists to drive along this busy street.

There are tiny gravel stones in and around the potholes, not to mention the fact that the craters fill up with water whenever it rains.

“It is very frustrating to drive and have to be mindful of the potholes. Sometimes there is oncoming traffic, so trying to dodge the holes is unsafe, as accidents may occur. The issue has been reported a number of times, but nothing has been done,” said one concerned resident.

“This is a residential area, with families and kids, therefore it is unacceptable that we cannot even take walks for fear of being hit by a vehicle that’s trying to avoid a pothole,” added the resident.
