uThukela updates the community on bulk water supply

The faulty transformer has been replaced, but residents are still urged to use water sparingly

An update on the water situation from uThukela District Municipality is that the Alfred Duma Electrical Department has replaced the faulty transformer at the Klip River Pump Station.

More good news is that the Ladysmith water purification plant is fully operational again. They have also started the process of filling up the reservoirs and reticulation systems.

The community is, however, advised to store water if possible and use water sparingly as interruptions in supply may still occur.
