Golfers brave the blazing heat to take on Corporate Day challenge
Twenty-two teams participated in this year's competition.
Dundee Country Club hosted another successful Corporate Classic Golf Day on Friday, December 1, in fine but hot weather conditions.
22 teams participated in this year’s competition.
The committee and members would like to thank all the sponsors, Linda and her staff from the halfway house, the golfing staff, and Jo Khumalo and the course staff for the excellent condition of the course.
Winners of the day were Veronica Donaldson, Dan Scholtz, and Walter and Natasha du Plessis (WMF Brokers) on 48 points.
Second was Jo Khumalo, S Mthembu, S Kunene and J Zulu (OK Express).
“Thanks again to all the teams and the sponsors, the halfway house, as well as all the people behind the scenes for making the Corporate Classic a great success. Much appreciated,” enthused Dave Donaldson of the golf club committee.
The Monthly Mug was played on Saturday in very hot conditions, with 12 players braving the day.
Mug winners:
Ladies’ C Division – S Browning (102/80).
Men’s B Division – S Mkhaliphi (84/70).
Men’s A Division – N van Dyk (78/69).
Best Gross:
A Mthembu on 76;
N van Dyk on 69.
