Avid car enthusiasts came out in their numbers this past Friday evening to celebrate and admire the grand reopening of the Mortimer Motors Group (MMG) on Allen Street.
Guests were treated to delicious snacks and tantalizing drinks while getting to know the staff and the new business layout.
Kia Dealer Principal, Angelique van Vuuren, gave a brief background on the business, stating that Mortimer Motors Group bought the Ford and Mazda, Newcastle dealerships in 2015.
They started Mahindra, Newcastle, in 2019 and finally opened Kia in August 2022, with their second Kia dealership to be opened in Ladysmith at the end of January 2024.
“We finally got to launch our beautiful brand-new dealership on Friday evening, which was followed by an open day on Saturday with stalls and kids’ entertainment offering something fun for the entire family,” Angelique said.
“We thank all our clients and the Newcastle community for attending this prestigious event. We hope to see everyone here again very soon,” she concluded.
