Their doors will be open for five hours from 08:00 to 13:00

The Weenen community has already benefited from the Home Affairs community outreach programme. On Tuesday, October 31, the department was stationed at the Weenen Town Hall to assist the community with different needs. They were back again yesterday (November 9).

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), together with the South African government, announced that November 18 and 19 would be voter registration weekend for the 2024 general elections. 22,300 voting stations will be open so that residents can register or check if they appear on the system.

All South African citizens aged 16 and above can register to vote, but only those aged 18 and above are allowed to actually make their ‘mark’ at the ballot.

In order to register, you need your ID document (green book or smart card).
