Acaciavale suffers with no water or electricity

Acaciavale residents in Ward 20 are frustrated due to the fact that they have had no water in the area since Thursday (November 2).

To add insult to injury, they woke up this morning (November 6) to another crisis – no electricity as well.

According to uThukela spokesperson Nothile Zwane, the cause of the water outage is a burst pipe. Zwane says the pipe should be fixed by the end of today.

In the meantime, Isachem’s water tanker is doing the rounds, supplying water to those in need.

The cause of the power outage is not clear at this time.
