Bhekundi Secondary School rewards top learners

Awards were presented and the event was also used to pray for the matrics

Bhekundi Secondary School held their annual awards ceremony yesterday (October 26), where the school presented awards to those students who have excelled in their studies.

Teachers, pastors, SGB members and Ward Councillor Madinane attended the event, which was held at the Wembezi Hall.

Learners from Grade 8 to 12 who placed in the top five in each subject were given certificates for their accomplishments. The top learner in each subject also got a medal and a trophy.

Some learners really shone and came first in almost every subject. In Grade 8, Senamile Mazibuko went home with six trophies, while Grade 9 pupil Luthando Makhanya walked away with no less than nine trophies.

The ceremony was also used to pray for the matrics before they start writing their final exams on Monday (October 30), starting with English Paper 1.
