Members were treated to good music and delicious snacks and meals while attending the annual Week of the Aged celebration.

Members of the Newcastle Organisation for the Aged (NOFTA) gathered at the Nofta Hall on Saturday evening, October 21 for a fun-filled dinner and dance event.

The aim of the event was to celebrate the Week of the Aged.

Chairman, Morris Gajoo, opened the evening with a welcoming speech reminding guests about the importance of protecting the elderly community.

He further encouraged everyone to have fun while enjoying the evenings programme.

This was followed by various speeches made by guests of honours and founding members.

Newcastillians in attendance enjoyed a scrumptious dinner and danced the night away, with music provided by the Prakash Orchestra all the way from Ladysmith.
