Sport and culture prize giving at DHS

The top achievers in sport and culture were announced at the school's annual Sport and Culture Prize-giving event.

DHS congratulate these learners who received accolades at their annual sport and culture prize-giving.
Athletics: Half Colours were awarded to Siyanda Mtshali, Pieter Bester and Faith Mazibuko. Full Colours were awarded to Lungelo Mthembu, Best Junior Female Athlete went to Bongokuhle Masuku,Best Junior Male Athlete went to Maluleki Dube, Best Senior Female Athlete went to Lungelo Mthembu, Junior Victrix Ludorum shared by Terischka Basson, Anzelle van Wyk and Malwande Mdiniso, Junior Victor Ludorum Maluleki Dube.
Swimming: Junior Victrix Ludorum Kayla Connoly and Junior Victor Ludorum Stuart Talanda.Netball: Best Junior Upcoming Defensive Netball Player Nontokozo Gcabashe, Best Junior upcoming Attacking Netball Player Katlego Mohlakoana.
Girls’ Hockey: Full colours were awarded to Gaby Beukes and Snakho Ndhlovu, Junior Hockey Player of the Year Celiwe Zibula, Most Improved Girls’ Hockey Player Xane Husselman, Most Improved Senior : Player Asimbonge Mazibuko.
Boys’ Hockey: Full colours were awarded to Mphumelelo Khumalo.
Chess: Half colours were awarded to Malusi Buthelezi, Ntobeko Buthelezi and Sphelele MazibukoRugby: Full colours were awarded to Yanetso Selepe, Asande Kunene and JC BothaBoet Landman Wisseltrofee vir die beste gesindheid was shared by Michael Molefe and Njabulo Mkhwanazi.
Rugby: Full colours were awarded to Yanetso Selepe, Asande Kunene and JC Botha, Boet Landman Wisseltrofee vir die beste gesindheid was shared by Michael Molefe and Njabulo Mkhwanazi, Best Junior Rugby Player JC Botha, Forward of the Year Njabulo Mkhwanazi, Backline Player of the Year Njabulo Duma, Most Improved Player Kurt Meintjes.
Golf: Half colours: Ethan Jansen, Liam Wentzel, Gideon Nel, Asanda Hlongwane, Dillan Guelpa and LC Meintjes.
Girls’ Soccer: Mack Trophy for the best Junior Girls’ Soccer player with a positive attitude: Katlego Mohlakoana.
Boys’ Soccer: Mack Trophy for the Junior Boys’ Soccer Player with a positive attitude: Lethuxolo Lembethe.
Tennis: Full colours were awarded to Akhona Zungu, Zalika Meyer, Pieter Bester, Aryan Mungru and JC Botha.
Cricket: Best Junior Cricket Player Stuart Talanda.
Speech and Drama: Merit Certificates were awarded to Nicole Mitchell, Buhlebakhe Damane and Shanon Griffiths, Full Colours were awarded to Khwezi Molefe, Ofentse Nkoagatse, Michael Molefe, Thando Sikhakhane and Entle Zondi.
Certificates of recognition for YCAP were awarded to Anele Hlatshwayo, Andiswa Lukele, Nokwazi Nyandeni and Neharika Bhartu
EXPO: Full colours were awarded to Nehal Ramgolam and Kwanele Mtshali.
RCL: Merit Certificates were awarded to Siyamethemba Shelembe and Andiswa Lukele.
