Dundee Hindu Temple to host Navarathri

The nine nights are divided into sets of three nights, to worship the different aspects of the Supreme Goddess.

The Dundee Hindu Temple will host Navarathri Pooja from October 15 to 24 and the public is invited to attend this auspicious occasion.
The first three nights are devoted to Mother Durga – the remover of the miseries of life.
The second three nights are devoted to Mother Lakshmi – the bestower of spiritual wealth. The last three nights are devoted to Mother Saraswathi – the bestower of wisdom and knowledge.
Dates and times:
Daily abeshegam will be at 06:00.
Sunday, October 15, commencing at 17:00 – Chandi Pooran, Hawan, Bhajans, Garba, Aarthi and Shanti Paat (supper will be served). Monday, October 16, commencing at 18:00 – Pooja, Garba, Bhajans, Aarthi and Shanti Paat (supper will be served).
Tuesday, October 17, commencing at 18:00 – Pooja, Pumpkin Bali, Bhajans, Garba, Aarthi and Shanti Paat (supper will be served).
Wednesday, October 18, commencing at 18:00 – Lakshmi Pooja, Hawan, Bhajans, Garba, Aarthi and Shanti Paat (supper will be served).
Thursday, October 19, commencing at 18:00 – Pooja, Garba, Bhajans, Aarthi and Shanti Paat (supper will be served).
Friday, October 20, commencing at 18:00 – Mahalakshmi Ashtakam (108 names of the Mother), Bhajans, Garba, Aarthi and Shanti Paat (supper will be served). Saturday, October 21, at 15:00 – Saraswathi Pooja Hawan for educators and scholars.
Please bring your hawan kund, a school book and petals for offerings. 18:30 – Suhagin Pooja, Bhajans, Garba, Aarthi and Shanti Paat (supper will be served).
Sunday, October 22, at 10:00 – Chandi Hawan and Kanya Pooja. Please bring your hawan kund. Lunch will be served. 18:30 – Pooja, Garba, Bhajans, Aarthi and Shanti Paat.
Monday, October 23, commencing at 18:00 – Pooja, Garba, Bhajans, Aarthi and Shanti Paat – supper will be served.
Tuesday, October 24 – Vijaya Dashami at 09:00 and Dashami Pooja at 11:00 – leave for the river. Lunch will be served
