Busy weekend as paramedics attend to various accident scenes

Local law enforcement and paramedics were kept on their toes, attending to several accidents over the long weekend.

In the first incident, a motorist suffered serious injuries after the light motor vehicle he was driving was struck by a train near Amor Dam.

It’s believed the motorist attempted to overtake the vehicles in front of him, crossed a train line and was hit by the passing train.

The motorist sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.

Later, paramedics attended to a collision on the corner of Memel and Impala Streets.

It’s believed three children sustained injuries and were treated on the scene before being transported to the hospital for further care.

Paramedics then attended to another accident scene on Drakensberg Road.

Furthermore, three people were seriously injured in an accident between a car and a truck at the intersection of Albert Wessels Drive and the N11.The injured patients were treated on the scene before being transported to the hospital for further medical care.
