Bash Hoosein is the star performer at Charity Show

While entrance to the show was completely free, guests were invited to make a donation of whatever amount they could afford, towards charity.

Singer, entertainer and radio personality, Bash Hoosein, was the star performer at a jam-packed Charity Show hosted at the Nofta Hall on Saturday, August 26.

The cast and management of Gauteng based radio station, Lenz FM, as well as a line-up of popular local musicians were included in the performance that kept guests entertained well into the night with comedy as well as a medley of Bollywood Hits, Golden Oldies, Chutney and Qawwali music.

Businessman and philanthropist, Allan Diplall, whose generosity made the Charity Show possible, said he is often approached to provide assistance to people in need when he visits Newcastle for business or leisure.

Diplall hoped the show with unite residents in an evening of good fun to raise funds for the underprivileged.

While entrance to the show was completely free, guests were invited to make a donation of whatever amount they could afford, towards charity.

The funds raised will be used to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need, according to Diplall.

“People are suffering. Some are in need of food. Others are in need of medical assistance. We can’t turn a blind eye to them. We have to assist in any way we can. Let’s help each other. Let’s be good and do good,” said Diplall who intends to host a similar show in Newcastle bi-annually.

Diplall urged residents who require financial or medical assistance to reach out to Lenz FM with a motivation for whatever it is that is required.
