Drakies showcase their talent at successful Buitelugfees

This year’s line-up included artists such as Bok van Blerk, Piet Pompies, Dodo Nyoka, The Undaunted and Pretty and the Music.

The Buitelugfees hosted by Drakensberg Primary on Saturday, August 26, provided the perfect opportunity to showcase the learners’ phenomenal talent, market the school within the community and raise funds as well.

Head of the Foundation Phase, Stefani Truter, who served on the organising committee, said the Buitelugfees was the brain child of Enza de Jager who co-ordinated a spectacularly successful event from start to finish.

This year’s line-up included artists such as Bok van Blerk, Piet Pompies, Dodo Nyoka, The Undaunted and Pretty and the Music.

Learners from surrounding schools were invited to dress up in an outfit that represents their future profession in the Mr and Miss Buitelugfees pageant.

Guests were also entertained by Drakies dance groups, including the Drummies, Little Pom Poms and the Dancing Dollies.
