Operation Basadi sees women in law paint the town ‘blue and brown’

Amajuba district SAPS commissioner, General Fred Alexander, explained that they would also be targeting  potential human trafficking threats within the area, while also clamping down on illegal immigrants.

Traffic came to a sudden halt on Thursday, August 31, as law enforcement hosted their annual Operation Basadi along Albert Wessels Drive, the N11 (near Hill Drop) and in the Newcastle CBD.

Members of the Amajuba District SAPS, protection services, Home Affairs immigration officers, and a prominent security firm joined forces as they celebrated the pivotal role women play in the law enforcement field.
