The ‘Origin Car Park and Chill’ event took place for the first time at the caravan park in Cecil Emmett over the weekend… And the people of Vryheid were ready for it!

Sphephelo ‘Vee’ Vilakazi, who is the founder of the event, mentioned that his aim is to create a diverse network to inform and empower Individuals of different entrepreneurial opportunities within local communities. “And also create entertainment so that friends and families can spend quality time together because, these days, everyone is busy with something and cannot even spare a few minutes,” explains Vee.
It was a day out in nature, where people were able to showcase their business and entrepreneurial expertise while networking with people from within the community and beyond.
Everyone enjoyed themselves in the outdoors and ‘had a blast’. Vee said he is grateful and thankful to AbaQulusi Local Municipality for allowing him to use the caravan park. He anticipates that another ‘Origin’ event will take place during Heritage Month.
