Donors help underprivileged scholars keep warm by giving them full school uniforms

Unprivileged pupils at Buyafuthi Primary School in Msinga couldn’t contain their joy when Endaweni Crew, Highland Timbers and the Scara Ndlovu Foundation presented them with school uniforms, shoes and jerseys to keep them warm during this chilly winter.
A total of 50 full sets of school uniforms were donated by the donors.
It is known at the school that a large number of pupils don’t attend school, especially in the winter, because they don’t have jerseys to wear to keep warm.
“We donated to this school in particular because we are aware that many pupils here come from impoverished areas and rely on government child support grants for survival,” said Scara Ndlovu.
He added that ‘schoolchildren are the future and they need all of our support to sharpen their future’.
School principal SP Zulu said that the donation will result in a significant shift in the behaviour of the students, as many of them choose not to attend class out of fear that they will be teased by other students because they don’t have the entire school uniform. “Your sweetest gesture won’t go forgotten. We are truly honoured that you chose our students,” he concluded.
