Dundee’s lady bowlers dominate at prestigious Northern Zone Fours

In the ladies' competition, it was Rita Meyer and her team from Dundee Bowling Club who reigned supreme, winning all four of their games.

Dundee bowlers had a ‘clean sweep’ over the weekend, with the two ladies’ teams taking the top two positions in the Northern Zone Fours played at Newcastle Bowling Club.
The men’s competition was split into two sections of four teams, while the ladies played a round robin format. In the ladies’ competition, it was Rita Meyer and her team from Dundee Bowling Club who reigned supreme, winning all four of their games. The runners-up were also from Dundee Bowling Club, with Essie Slabbert and her team taking home the honours.
In the men’s competition, it was Tony de Pooter and his team from Volksrust, and Desmond Johnson and his team from Dundee who booked their spot in the final.
Unfortunately, Tony and his team were just too good for the Dundee boys, winning the trophy in emphatic style. Nonetheless, it was a great bowling weekend for Dundee Bowling Club.
Congratulations to all!
