Acaciavale CPF meeting a success

More people are requested to join the CPF in Acaciavale

The Acaciavale Community Policing Forum (CPF) held a meeting recently to engage with their sector commander, Mr Magasela. It was proposed to Magasela that the members of the forum are going to need training to help fight crime in the area, which he is willing to assist with.

Speaking to CPF vice-chairperson Avash Puncham, he said that since they have formed the group, the crime rate in the area has decreased. “We are trying to get the community involved, and people who would like to join can contact me on 082 416 1149.”

Matters that were discussed at the meeting included taverns in the area causing a noise disturbance late at night, and criminals making use of vacant land. Magasela said he will address these issues.

Puncham added that the meeting was a success and the members are always patrolling. He wishes to thank all those who brave the weather and use their own funds (for petrol) to help fight crime.
